Passionate followers of the pop star are demanding that a individual who breached a fence and touched the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or expelled from Singapore.

A circulating footage shows the individual from Australia bypassing camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the cast made its way down a yellow carpet flanked by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being escorted out of the premiere by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records showed that he was set to attend court on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

History of Event Invasions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account features videos of him disturbing other celebrity events, including jumping on stage at Katy Perry's Sydney show in earlier this year and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers concert in the city last year.

"Steps should be implemented applied against him as this is evidently a criminal offence," commented an Instagram follower, in a reply to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Supporters Voice Worry Over Ariana's Past Trauma

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "re-traumatising" Grande, who had discussed suffering from PTSD after a devastating incident at the end of her 2017 performance in Manchester, killing 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" said another message on Instagram.

Several fans also faulted guards at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while some demanded social media platforms to ban Mr Wen's videos.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips circulating online, Grande seemed shocked when she was touched by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by security.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings carried on uninterrupted.

They were alongside cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the highest-grossing motion picture of 2024 in the UK, and scored ten award recognitions, securing two for outstanding attire and artistic direction.
