New Particulars Emerge Concerning the Location of the Reiner Couple's Remains

Fresh particulars have surfaced about the tragic demises of renowned film director Rob Reiner and visual artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home residence on Sunday.

A Discovery

A source indicates quoting a confidential source, a massage therapist scheduled for an appointment initially became concerned after failing to get inside the house. This individual then got in touch with the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who lives nearby.

After gaining access to the house, Romy discovered her father's body. Accounts indicate she then left the home distraught, unaware at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. A companion who had gone with her contacted 911. Afterward, emergency responders found Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Developments

Authorities have formally accused the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, as well as the charge related to a weapon, reportedly a knife. He is currently detained and denied bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source questioned several initial details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick resided in a guesthouse on the grounds, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that time.

The source also refuted published claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been particularly "concerned" about Nick's behavior in the preceding period. Rather the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

This correction includes reports of alleged "unpredictable" behavior by Nick at a event hosted by Conan O'Brien on the night before the discovery. Although the source said they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they said that claims of a "heated argument" between the two were untrue.

Ongoing Inquiry Details

According to law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died on Saturday evening or on Sunday. Some media reports noted the state of their bodies suggested they had been dead for some hours.

Nick Reiner was apprehended at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park, about 15 miles from the scene. He was scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, said his client had a medical issue and would not appear until Wednesday at the earliest.
